Well its back to snow again in Chicago, but don’t let that get you down cause as always we got a hot bunch of new stuff in the store this week and tonight we even have an old school zine reading going down for free. Happy Valentines Day. Perfect day to bring by that special someone and pick up a naughty book or some thing nerdy which ever will get them in the mood. Wow uber light week for new stuff around here. New issue of Butt more than makes up for that though. Seems this week has been more about restocking the classics and keeping the store arranged and orderly-despite how hard customers try to undo that work. Next week is the Spelling Bee so make sure to mark your calendars appropriately should be an epic battle of word building and memory!

Well it looks like the arctic blast has subsided. Kind of a slow week for new stuff, but the zines we did get are pretty good! I co-sign 100% on Rigor Mortis, Animal Shelter, Jean Toche or the The Nothing Factory zine!

Well we are well into 2009 and here is your first big new stuff update of the new year. I let a few weeks pile up since with the holidays not much was coming in (more stuff was going out!). Also don’t forget we have local comic artist Lilli Carré signing her new book The Lagoon here on Thursday Jan 15th! So stop in.

Well it’s officially December. Been doing a little gift wrapping and handing out tote bags to people who spend $100.00, kinda has me in the spirit of the season. We are still well stocked on classic gifts from Slingshots and Nikki McClure calendars to Sarah Vowell and Eggers books. Some come grab some stuff before we get picked over!
