Dancing Girl Press Reading
Performers: Simone Muench (The Air Lost in Breathing, Lampblack &
Ash) is a poet, editor, assistant professor, and horror film fan.
Brandi Homan’s chapbook, Two Kinds of Arson, is available from Dancing
Girl Press. Her work has appeared in magazines like Salt Hill, North
American Review, Fugue, CutBank, Natural Bridge, and others. Erin M.
Bertram writes for The Vital Voice and edits Shadowbox Press.

The Crimethinc anarchist collective that published Days of War Nights
of Love and Evasion brings some, none or all of the following: puppet
shows, workshops, presentations about Security Culture, Consent,
Animal Liberation, and possibly Queer/Trans Awareness. We look forward

Manic D Press/Future Tense Publishing presents Elizabeth Ellen and
Myriam Gurba
Elizabeth Ellen reads from her debut short story collection, Before
You She Was a Pitbull, all about women and girls: women sleeping with
the wrong men, girls suffering at the hands of their mothers. It’s a
52-page catalog of the pains of the female heart. Elizabeth Ellen is
the editor of Hobart’s “Short Flight/Long Drive”
book series. Mexican-American author Myriam Gurba reads from Dahlia
Season, a book about a young woman sent to Catholic school to
extinguish her weirdness and the screwy brain chemistry that holds the
